INTRODUCTION
Generation X: born 1965 – 1981, aged 23 – 39 and Generation Y: born 1982 onwards require honest and open communication, good mentoring and non-authoritarian management. Generation X balances work and friends and family. Generation Y, the largest generation in human history, has never known a time when there was not a World Wide Web. They each have very different work styles than the Baby Boomer generation. Get an understanding of both Gen X and Gen Y from an expert who programs and markets to Gen Y. Find out how Gen X and Gen Y communicate. Then learn practical, how-to tips and techniques for communicating and working with Generation X and Gen Y.

SPEAKER’S PROFILE

  Michael Xavier is a full time professional development consultant. He currently trains people from all walks of life and makes them better understand themselves and people around them. His elaborate 12 years background in the service industry in various capacities has given him valuable experience in dealing with people of different background and culture. He has served in several well-established service organizations and has held various managerial positions. Previously as Senior Manager for a 4-star hotel property, Michael devised a comprehensive Customer Relationship Culture that brought tremendous success to the organization. In the process, he was able to develop renewed human capital within the organization to look into the needs of even the most discerning customer. He was also District 51 International Toastmasters Champion in Public Speaking in the year 2000 and represented Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong in the International Inter-District Public Speaking Competition held in Miami, Florida, USA in the same year.

He also holds a Professional Membership with the Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers where he was an invited speaker at its International High Impact Leadership Convention in April 2008. He shares his experience and that of many other successful organisations in training to turn around companies and gearing them towards building long lasting relationships with their teams and customer, and enjoying the process while at it. Michael conducts courses on : Motivation and Empowerment, Business Communication Skills, Business Writing Skills, Customer Relationship Management, Performance Management, Influencing and Negotiation Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Presentation Skills and many more. Course participants frequently rate him as highly interesting and an effective trainer.

Michael graduated in Human Resources in association with Glasgow Caledonian University, UK and is a Certified Training Professional, jointly awarded by Asian Region of Training & Development Organization, Philippines & Institute of Training Development, Malaysia.
